The Issue with ODP.NET 9.2
There are two major drivers for Oracle db in asp.net. One is microsoft’s OracleClient and the other is Oracle’s OracleClient. I thought that Oracle’s OracleClient package was more powerful and reliable than microsoft’s because Oracle knows its own product more than anybody.
However, it turned out that Oracle didn’t know .net framework well enough to implement what they originally intended to achieve.
